MARCUS & MILLICHAP ARRANGES THE SALE OF A 21,050-SQUARE FOOT SELF-STORAGE FACILITY

GRANBURY, TX, 3/30/2022 – Marcus & Millichap (NYSE: MMI), a leading commercial real estate brokerage firm specializing in investment sales, financing, research and advisory services, announced today the sale of Acton Secure Stor, a 21,050-square foot self-storage facility located in Granbury, Texas, according to Mark R. McCoy, regional manager of the firm’s Fort Worth office.

Danny Cunningham and Brandon Karr, investment specialists in Marcus & Millichap’s Fort Worth office, had the exclusive listing to market the property on behalf of the seller, a private investor. The buyer, a privately-held investment group with both a national footprint and a local presence, was eager to expand their investment in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.

“Despite the fact this deal was a bit smaller than the average Karr Self-Storage Team transaction, by utilizing the strength of the Marcus & Millichap national platform, we successfully coordinated one of the most competitive bidding environments we’d ever encountered,” stated Mr. Cunningham. “We took the property to market, and within the first 48
hours, we procured close to ten offers – half of which were at, or above, the list price. In addition, none of the offers had a financing contingency, and every offer had a quick closing timeline. This made it a difficult decision, but ultimately our client selected a buyer with whom the Karr Self-Storage team had successfully transacted several times in the past.”
